Writing has been my biggest reward. Most people recognize me for my films but at heart I am a writer who loves to entertain with his stories. Writing films is how this journey began for me. These days, of course, writing has evolved. It tends to be more connected with reality and with experiences rooted in different places and different categories of people living in our country. The fact that good content, solid stories and entertaining premises remain core to this change in evident in the kind of films that audiences watch.

Personally for me, writing has become a different process. I recall those days when I would start my day with pen and paper, thinking about a story, focusing on its characters and all that happens to them. I would spend most of my day thinking about them first, and then I would start putting words on paper. While doing that, the process of writing with one’s hands, I would actually feel the characters come to life.

These days, writing is about typing on a laptop. It’s a process that I took some time to warm up to. But when I did I found it helpful and a lot of fun. That I can finally write something like this and directly connect with my fans and movie buffs is very satisfying. Blogging is a great tool to reach like-minded people all over the world, and to have a conversation with them.

So here is where I begin- I firmly believe that good writing will always find takers. Look around us, only good content lives now- on your phones and laptops and on the big screen. If one is convinced that there is a good story to tell, then let’s begin doing it. I can help. Please begin first by writing it out; and working on it patiently.

I will continue to write such pieces that I should like to share with people. I hope I can encourage some of you to also begin writing a story too.
